Below are events happening in January 2022.
FSS Cross-Country Support Community Meeting: Shaping Our Stories with StoryCorps
Thursday, January 20 from 7pm to 8:30pm via Zoom
In partnership with the one and only StoryCorps, whose interviews many of us listen to on NPR, we have the opportunity to be trained by the experts on how to conduct our own interviews using the StoryCorps model and technology. Limited to 30 participants, this special support community event will give us the tools we need to record our stories in pairs, either with a partner of your choosing or someone we can match you with.
The StoryCorps team will help us understand how best to express our narratives and also teach us how to use their free mobile app so that we can record our interviews and upload them to the Library of Congress on our own. We will have time to ask questions, practice telling our stories, and connect with each other. StoryCorps’ mission is to preserve and share humanity’s stories in order to build connections between people and create a more just and compassionate world.
To secure your spot in this cross-country support community event, exclusively for those who have been personally impacted by a crash, please RSVP as soon as possible.
