ADVOCACY OPPORTUNITY: Take action to reverse the Mayor’s transportation cuts
The Mayor’s FY24 proposed budget wants to remove the only dedicated funding source for Vision Zero programming, and a key source of funding for future bike, bus and pedestrian projects.
2024 is the year the Mayor designated as the year DC gets to zero traffic deaths and serious injuries. We’re nowhere close, and now is not the time to scale back funding for key transportation bills.

FSS Cross-Country Support Community Meeting: Hands-on Art Project
Thursday, April 13, 2023 at 7pm eastern
We’ll start with a brief mindfulness exercise and then make our own personal decks of Calm Cards to help inspire balance and well-being. Please bring:
- A smooth stone that fits in the palm of your hand
- 1-2 colors of yarn or string (we’ll be wrapping the stones)
- 10-20 index cards
- Glue stick or other type of glue
- Writing implement(s)
- Collage images from magazines, photos, anything that inspires you
GWU Hospital: Virtual Trauma Survivors Group
Thursday, April 20, 2023 from 6:30pm to 8pm via Zoom
This virtual meeting hosted by the George Washington University Hospital is open to all trauma survivors, family members and loved ones. It is a space where people can connect with other people who have experienced similar circumstances.
