Next DC-FSS Monthly Meeting

Wednesday, September 24, 2025 at 8pm via Zoom

Agenda and zoom link forthcoming. We’ll likely focus on all of the things below, plus more.

DC Family Bike Fest

Sunday, September 28, 2025 (10am – 2pm) @ Alethia Tanner Park

We will be at DC Family Bike Fest! This event usually has us grinning from ear to ear. Rides for people of all ages are being planned from Ward 5 and Ward 6, maybe others? Please stop by to say hi or volunteer with us. There’s a raffle where a portion of the proceeds benefits our chapter. In past years, we’ve used those funds to cover the cost of memorial crash signs and other expenses related to World Day of Remembrance. Learn more and RSVP here.

>> Volunteer opportunity: Come help us at our table! This includes greeting attendees and assisting with the raffle logistics. Send us an email if you’re able to help.

SAVE THE DATE: World Day of Remembrance

Sunday, November 16, 2025

The World Day of Remembrance for Road Traffic Victims is a global event held every third Sunday of November to honor those who have lost their lives or been impacted by roadway crashes. Local details/specifics will be shared in the coming weeks. Learn more about World Day of Remembrance here.

>> Volunteer opportunity: Help us solidify our plans. We are working in collaboration with FSS chapters, the Vision Zero Network, and our trusted local partners. We are looking for help with event planning and our continued efforts to post signs to remember loved ones and neighbors. Email us if you’re interested.

Lastly– not an event, but earlier this summer we circulated a petition to modernize insurance minimums, a key detail for crash survivors. Read more and sign the petition, and thank you to those who have already signed!
