Newly introduced legislation on dangerous driving

Following the recent Council roundtable on traffic enforcement, Councilmembers Christina Henderson (At-Large), Charles Allen (Ward 6), and Brianne Nadeau (Ward 1) introduced the following legislation in July 2023 to address dangerous driving on District streets:

  • License Suspension Reform Amendment Act of 2023 (Henderson, B25-0421)
  • Automated Traffic Enforcement Effectiveness Amendment Act of 2023 (Henderson, B25-0422)
  • Strengthening Traffic Enforcement, Education, and Responsibility (STEER) Amendment Act of 2023 (Allen, B25-0425)
  • Fraudulent Vehicle Tag Enforcement Amendment Act of 2023 (Nadeau, B25-0435)
